Service and Maintenance

                                                                 

Emerald Fire Technology offers a complete fire alarm maintenance service as called for in IS3218.

Our standard maintenance agreement includes for quarterly visits during which one quarter of all devices are tested, all sounders and remote links are tested, panel and back-up batteries are tested, and any remedial work required will be brought to the attention of the user. Service customers can avail of our 24hr call-out service.

We believe we offer a competitive service, particularly in relation to after-hours callouts, and can support a large range of the most commonly used fire alarm systems.

We use the latest test equipment and all smoke detectors tested are tested with artificial smoke. All our spare parts carry a 12-month warranty.

We believe our technical expertise is an obvious benefit to all our customers and of particular value to customers who have non-standard applications or critical processes to maintain.

IS3218 requirements:

"To give greater assurance of reliability, correct servicing is essential. Normally an agreement should be made with a fire alarm supplier or other competent contractor for regular servicing. The name and number of the servicing organisation should be prominently displayed at the control and indicating equipment."    IS3218, Clause 29.1

"A servicing agreement should be made immediately on completion of the installation whether the premises are occupied or not."  IS3218, Clause 29.1
